Ever felt like you lost your purpose? Me too.

Hey Reader,

How are you? No really—how are you spiritually, mentally, and physically? Feel free to hit reply and let me know.

I’m 6 months into motherhood and still trying to find my groove with business and being a mom. If I can be honest, many days I’ve felt purposeless.

I lost vision for what I was doing. I let my hope in God dwindle—doubting that what He showed me would actually come to pass. And I started taking matters into my own hands, doing things in my own strength to try and make things happen.

Anyone else relate?

I started to allow the enemy to tell me who I am—and even who God is. I let the cares of this world choke out the Word of God. And I allowed the idea of productivity to determine my worth.

It’s safe to say: on the outside, I looked good… But inside, I was spiraling.

I got so caught up in myself, I didn’t even realize I was feeding my flesh more than my spirit.

One thing my best friend taught me was: “You can't negotiate with terrorists.”

The devil is the terrorist of your mind and soul. The moment you start trying to hash things out with him is the moment you let conflicting ideologies enter your heart. But even the archangel Michael, when disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, didn’t try to argue—he said, “The Lord rebuke you!” – Jude 1:9

Last week, I was reminded of 2 Corinthians 10:3–5. Let’s break this down together—I promise, it’s going to be so good:

“For although we live in the flesh, we do not wage war according to the flesh.” (v. 3)

Yes, we have human responsibilities—business, motherhood, life. But the real battles (confusion, burnout, doubt, fear) are not natural… they’re spiritual. And they require a spiritual approach, not just productivity or self-help.

The Point: Stop fighting spiritual fatigue with carnal solutions (like hustling harder or numbing out). Your strength is in the Spirit.

“Since the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but are powerful through God for the demolition of strongholds. We demolish arguments…” (v. 4)

Our battles are spiritual, and we don’t fight them with carnal weapons like overspending, food, sex, or busyness. We fight with the sword of the Word, with truth, faith, righteousness, salvation, and the gospel of Jesus Christ (Ephesians 6).

The Point: You’re not powerless. You just need to use the right weapons—and they come from heaven, not your own strength.

“…and every proud thing that is raised up against the knowledge of God, and we take every thought captive to obey Christ.” (v. 5)

Every thought isn’t from God. Some are flat-out lies from the enemy—and we need to catch them before they take root. This verse reminds us to line our thoughts up with God’s Word and immediately reject anything that doesn’t match.

The Point: Your mind is a battlefield. Don’t let the enemy run wild up there—check every thought against the truth of God.

All of these scriptures are showing us how to reclaim our peace, purpose, and positioning in Christ:

  • Stop trying to do everything in our own strength.
  • Recognize the spiritual warfare we're in.
  • Pick up our spiritual weapons.
  • Take our thoughts captive.
  • Get back to the Word.

Sis—be honest with yourself. This is why we’re here.

If you found yourself like me, in the first part of this email, ask yourself:

👉 What have I been feeding—and with what? Has it been my spirit, with the Word of God? Or has it been my flesh, with the things of this world?

If it’s the latter—you are not alone. Repent. And get back to your First Love.

And sis, if any of this hit home—if you’ve been feeling spiritually off, trying to do life in your own strength, or just craving a space to be poured into—I want to personally invite you to the Pray First Women Call.

It’s happening this Wednesday at 7PM EST / 6PM CST, and it’s one of the few places where I can exhale, be real, and get my spirit filled back up with truth, prayer, and community. These calls are so life-giving and designed to help you stay rooted in Christ, especially when the world (and your flesh) try to pull you in every direction.

👉 Click here to join the call (be sure to add it to your calendar!)

You don’t have to do this walk alone.

Reply to this email if you have any questions—I got you, sis! 💛

With Love & Support,

Odaisha

Hey sis, Last week I celebrated my 31st birthday!!! I spent the day in the windy city of Chicago like a full tourist with my husband and baby girl. By 10am we were walking through the Chicago Zoo which is FREE by the way if you ever wanted to visit. My baby girl was in absolute awe. Every animal we passed got a big “Hiii!” a wave, or a loud “Wowww!” from her little voice. It was the sweetest thing to watch. By around 3pm we were in the heart of the city grabbing ramen, a rose shaped ice cream...

Hey sis, This has been one of the hardest financial seasons of my life. Not the kind you post about after it’s over. But the kind you walk through quietly. The kind where you are building what God told you to build… while wondering how you're going to pay your mortgage or car note. And in the middle of it, I felt the Lord gently correct something in my heart. Not my work ethic. Not my obedience. But my reliance. He brought me to Hebrews 13:5 and the phrase “be free from the love of money" has...
