I got proposed to with a $15 Amazon ring …

Hey Reader,

When my husband proposed, he did so with a $15 Amazon ring.

And when I got pregnant? We “upgraded” it to a $25 Amazon ring—something that could stretch with my growing fingers 😅

The truth is: when we got married, we didn’t have much.
We were living off of one salary.
Our cute, boutique courthouse wedding was sponsored by family and friends.
And while I did have dreams of a glamorous wedding and a sparkly, expensive ring…
God didn’t call us to have a wedding—He called us to get married.

So we were obedient.
We worked with what we had.
And God met us right there.

What has God called you to work with in this season?

I’ve found that so many of us—especially highly ambitious Christian women—get stuck waiting for the perfect setup before we move.

We know God has called us.
We see the vision He gave us.
But because it doesn’t look like what we imagined… we hesitate.

We despise the humble beginnings.
We discount the small steps.
We forfeit what seems to be taking forever.
And we quietly question if this was ever what God wanted us to do in the first place.

But sis, this morning I feel it heavy on my heart to encourage you:

Honor where you are.
Use what you have.
Do what He told you to do.
Even if it’s small.
Even if no one sees it.
Even if you’re doing it with trembling hands and an Amazon ring on your finger.

Just because you don’t see it happening yet doesn’t mean God isn’t working behind the scenes.

There’s always a harvest on the other side of a planted seed.

So plant it.
Water it.
And trust that God will bring the increase.

Cheering you on—every faithful, humble, obedient step of the way.

Odaisha
