Hey Reader, I want to start doing something a little different. Every now and then, I just want to share a quick devotional with you something simple, something real, something that meets you right where you are in your journey with God. So here goes: A New Definition of Success“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…” Romans 12:2 There are moments in this journey where things don’t look the way you expected them to. The progress feels slow. The results aren’t matching the effort. And quietly, a question can begin to rise in your heart… is God going to come through for me? You know that He is able. He's the God who parted the Red Sea, the One who raised from the dead, the One who saved your soul. You’ve seen His power. You believe in His ability. But the tension isn’t about what He can do… it’s about whether He will do this thing for you. It’s easy to form expectations around what this journey should look like. Timelines. Outcomes. A version of success shaped by what you’ve seen or hoped for. And when your reality doesn’t match that picture, it can lead to frustration or even distance in your heart toward God. But God is not just concerned with what you see… He’s concerned with how you see. He is renewing your mind. What if success in this season isn’t about things coming together quickly, but about your heart coming into alignment with Him? What if success is not in the results, but in your ability to trust Him, remain with Him, and stay anchored even when things feel uncertain? There is a deeper work happening in you. One that shifts you from striving to surrender, from needing to understand everything to simply trusting God. As your mind is renewed, your perspective begins to change. You start to see that God has not forgotten you, He has not overlooked you, and He is not withholding from you. He is forming you. And when your heart comes into agreement with that truth, you’ll find a peace that isn’t dependent on what you see, but rooted in who He is. P.S.S. I’m thinking of doing something in May where we come together for 5 days around 6am to pray and surrender our mornings to God. Is this something you would be interested in? Hey sis, Last week I celebrated my 31st birthday!!! I spent the day in the windy city of Chicago like a full tourist with my husband and baby girl. By 10am we were walking through the Chicago Zoo which is FREE by the way if you ever wanted to visit. My baby girl was in absolute awe. Every animal we passed got a big “Hiii!” a wave, or a loud “Wowww!” from her little voice. It was the sweetest thing to watch. By around 3pm we were in the heart of the city grabbing ramen, a rose shaped ice cream...
Hey sis, This has been one of the hardest financial seasons of my life. Not the kind you post about after it’s over. But the kind you walk through quietly. The kind where you are building what God told you to build… while wondering how you're going to pay your mortgage or car note. And in the middle of it, I felt the Lord gently correct something in my heart. Not my work ethic. Not my obedience. But my reliance. He brought me to Hebrews 13:5 and the phrase “be free from the love of money" has...
Hey sis, Can I ask you something? What do you do when you know God gave you the vision… but the results aren’t matching the obedience? When you’re building, showing up, pitching, praying and still hearing no. When the bills don’t pause just because you’re in a faith season. When you start wondering if maybe you misunderstood Him. I’ve been sitting in that tension lately. Building something that feels bigger than me. Taking steps that stretch me. Doing the work. And still waiting for the...
