Trust God's Plan (C Section🤱🏽)

Hey Reader,

We’re in week two of our "Trust God" email series, where I’m sharing devotional-style testimonies to encourage you to trust God—no matter where you find yourself on this journey.

Now, let’s dive into today’s message: Trust God’s Plan.

"People can plan what they want to do, but it is the Lord who guides their steps." – Proverbs 16:9

At 33 weeks pregnant, my husband and I created a detailed birthing plan. We knew exactly what we wanted—Gospel music in the room, no immediate vaccines, baby always with a family member, and absolutely NO C-section unless it was a true emergency.

But when the time came, things didn’t go as planned. After 24 hours of labor and no progress, my baby was positioned sideways and not descending. With my diagnosis of Intrahepatic Cholestasis of Pregnancy and no signs of her moving into position, an unplanned C-section was the only safe option. You can imagine how nervous and a little frustrated I was. But after prayer, and deliberation with my husband, an hour later our healthy baby girl was born.

Proverbs 16:9 reminds us that we can make our plans, but ultimately, God directs our steps. We map out our path, but He is the Author and Finisher of our faith. Before we were even born, He designed every step we would take.

So even when our plans fall apart, we can rest in knowing that the One who declared the end from the beginning always has the best course of action in mind for us. He is faithful to complete the good work He started even if it makes no sense to you.

💡Reflection Question: Where in your life do you need to surrender your plans and trust that God’s way is better?
