Sales Still Feels Icky Sometimes (Let’s Talk About It)

Hey sis,

Am I the only one who still feels a little icky when it comes to sales? 🙋🏽‍♀️

You can be passionate about your product or service, but the moment it’s time to ask for the sale… suddenly you’re stumbling over your words or second-guessing yourself. Even as a full-time entrepreneur going on 5 years now, I still get tripped up here sometimes.

It’s a strange place to be in—wanting to make money, knowing God called you to this work, but still hesitating when it’s time to actually sell.

That’s why this week’s podcast episode is so special. I sat down with my colleague Dawn Grooters, who has closed over $1M in sales—over the phone! 🤯

She shares:

  • How to overcome the fear of rejection
  • Why the tragic loss of her newborn shifted how she saw sales
  • The mindset shifts we need as Christian women entrepreneurs
  • Why it’s time to rip the Band-Aid off and start selling with confidence

Sis, you don’t have to dread sales. You can learn to do it in a way that honors God, serves people well, and grows your business.

Hey Reader, I want to start doing something a little different. Every now and then, I just want to share a quick devotional with you something simple, something real, something that meets you right where you are in your journey with God. So here goes: A New Definition of Success “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…” Romans 12:2 There are moments in this journey where things don’t look the way you expected them to. The progress feels slow. The...

Hey sis, Last week I celebrated my 31st birthday!!! I spent the day in the windy city of Chicago like a full tourist with my husband and baby girl. By 10am we were walking through the Chicago Zoo which is FREE by the way if you ever wanted to visit. My baby girl was in absolute awe. Every animal we passed got a big “Hiii!” a wave, or a loud “Wowww!” from her little voice. It was the sweetest thing to watch. By around 3pm we were in the heart of the city grabbing ramen, a rose shaped ice cream...

Hey sis, This has been one of the hardest financial seasons of my life. Not the kind you post about after it’s over. But the kind you walk through quietly. The kind where you are building what God told you to build… while wondering how you're going to pay your mortgage or car note. And in the middle of it, I felt the Lord gently correct something in my heart. Not my work ethic. Not my obedience. But my reliance. He brought me to Hebrews 13:5 and the phrase “be free from the love of money" has...
